Isa interest rate

I have just had a look at the interest rate of my Alliance and Leicester Direct ISA Issue 4 and found that the interest rate is 3.55% at the moment . When i opened the account it was %6.oo +.
I wondered if any members know of a better place to put the money to gain the best return . I dont want to brag as i know people are having it hard a the moment , the amount of money is £13000 split between 2 isas ,the other one in my wifes name . We opened them with a transfer from another isa (Barclays tax cash beater ). We have only put a small amount of new money in the A+ L this year (£20 a month) since MAY2008 . We are normal tax payers .
1- should I leave it where it is till next year and shop around .
2- can I / should i swop it somewhere else THIS YEAR ..

Due to the isa rules my only complication is that i have a MINI isa investor with the Halifax that i put £90 a month to SO I THINK I CAN ONLY PUT INTO A MINI CASH ISA .
MANY THANKS FOR YOUR ANSWERS , MERRY CHRISTMAS

You can move the money around all you like but if all the money is in one place it means you cannot split it because its classed as your ISA for this year.

You only have just over 3 months so you might want to top it up by £3580 soon :)

Um. There aren't great ISAs atm: https://www.moneysupermarket.com/savings for best rates around.

If you do move your ISA you can still top it up in the new provider upto the £3600 mark (so another £3580), obviously you will have to keep track of this yourself as the total amount is likely to be some silly number like £6354 when transferred (the £13k /2 )

Only £20 of it would be classed as this year's money so the rest could be split.

It appears the OP has put aside £20 per month since May so shouldn't that figure be £3,440?
