Argos have made a right balls of my Nintendo DS delivery. I ordered it on the 12th December and was due to be delivered on the 15th December with 3 packs of batteries. I rang the lady and asked if they were in stock just to confirm cos although the website was showing as in stock it might not have been! "Yes, there's plenty!"
Only the batteries turned up. I rang up, "Oh between the time you placed your order and the packers went to get the item, it became out of stock." Yeah right! "I will reschedule for Wednesday delivery as they are in stock now."
Wednesday came, nothing arrived. Rang on Friday "Oh sorry, it wasn't picked up at the depot. Can rearrange but it will be Monday now (today)". Fine I said.
So I rang up this morning and asked if the item was collected at depot, they said yes. Delivery turns up, wife unpacks it and its a HD cable!!!! What?!?! I rang them up again, "Oh someone must have picked up the wrong item for the order." Yes, can i just cancel this now. Oh we can't refund you until we have collected the item you have got and that wont be until 30th December.
Anyway, I agreed to drop it in store and for them to give me a refund there.
Anyone else had problems with Argos delivery?
ALSO! Does anyone know of any instore good deals on Nintendo DS or bundles for me to get my son for Xmas?

Perhaps the vent forum is more suitable for this rather than the grabbit forum

Hope you get this sorted0 -
Wrong thread.
MSE'ers come here looking for 'Grabbits' (while you can).
In no sense is your enquiry anything to do with the subject.0 -
Apologies, I will get it moved.0

There are some reasonable deals in store at our local Asda (Castlepoint Bournemouth) with plenty of stock and no delivery worries. Might be worth trying yours as I would immagine that the prices are national.
I picked up the DS Pink nintendogs package for £117, but there were other, cheaper deals (Brain Training Etc).0 -
You can also try Game, Currys and Comet - i know they have a few bundles showing up. Try the supermarkets too - i know people tend to over look them and they have stock in all the time.
I ordered a DS from Argos too but thankfully did not have any trouble with it.
I would write to them and tell them how bad their service was and the trouble they caused.
Good luck with finding one0
