Hotels chains that charge at time of booking

I'm planning a trip to Canada next summer, and have been watching the price of the Canadian dollar dropping. I'd like to get a few rooms booked now if I can find them at the right price.I've been looking for a couple of weeks, and the prices are increasing.
Does anyone know of any chains that charge at the time of booking for flexible rate rooms?

Expedia does (usually) but also many chains such as Hilton etc do. Just ensure you pre pay the room and not guarantee it.

Most US/Canadia chains will let you make a payment in advance if you call and ask to.

The problem I've had with Expedia in the past is that you don't know the cancellation policy before you book. Has this changed now?

From what i recal you cannot cancel. Usually though this does go for any prepaid room. Often they are cheaper rooms and its a term upon buying.
