No its not just you!
I have had lots of problems with ntl. Mainly the Broadband support people, which I think is an 0870, maybe I am wrong.
I had to phone them when I was setting up a wireless network. It seems to be a call centre far far away you get. They can never find me on their system, and one of them actually starting asking if I was Mrs XXX or Mrs YYY. He seemed to be going through a list of my neighbours, so know I know who has ntl broadband in my building :eek:
Surely there is some law governing this, ie Data Protection Act?
To get something they can identify me with, I have give them the number underneath the modem, which is a pain because it means I have to disconnect it.
This is before I even explain my problem.
I have had two of their operators hang up on me, as they either couldn't understand what I was saying or they did not have the answer.
I have been seriously thinking about changing my telephone/broadband provider because of this.
It's an absolute disgrace.
ps They can always find my details when it comes to sending me a bill :rolleyes:0
