I'd like to say thank you to everyone too.
Like a lot of people we have really cut back this year, but I have enjoyed the preparation much more. Have made loads of hampers and really thought about the person they were for instead of just going out and picking something expensive that they probably wouldn't use anyway.
I am very happy to say that my snowman soup looked everyone elses and although I only ended up making 2 door hangers, they look ok too
Looking forward to making more stuff next year.MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONEwhoever said laughter was the best medicine has clearly never tasted wine

I'd like to echo Rusty's thoughts too.
Everyone's been fantastic for inspiration and helping out too with questions. It's like a whole other family here.
I've not done much myself this year but I've so enjoyed seeing everything you've all made and the best bit is all your family and friends are going to just love them all.
I've really enjoyed reading about the elves, it's been lovely to hear that your little ones are having so much fun.
I've found some ideas on here for next year too.
A HUGE thank you all from me.
May you all have a WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS and a FANTASTIC NEW YEAR.0 -
I would like to say a big thank you to everyone on this board for all their lovely ideas and the willingness with which they've shared them. My presents since joining in July have all been much more personal and better put together - and eveyone that has had one so far from a 40th birthday hamper through to snowman cones and pots of gold have been absolutely delighted!
Thanks again - I feel I have made many new virtual friends on here, and I may have gained some face-to-face friends too. Merry Christmas everyone and have a great 2009!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I am new here but have found so many great ideas from the board and I have thoroughly enjoyed looking at everyones pictures from their hampers to decorations.
Thank you to everyone for sharing their ideas and for having the time available to help other people create their own versions of their homemade gifts such as chocolate slabs, snowman soup, hampers, pots of gold etc. I have enjoyed christmas shopping more than ever this year because I haven't bought things that are pre-packaged and have spent more time thinking about what people would like and putting together things I think they'll really appreciate.
As this Christmas has been especially tough financially a big thank you to all the MSE forum members for making it more special than I thought possible. I hope you all have a very merry christmas and all the best for 2009!!May Wins: Annual Merlin Premium Pass, Annabel Karmel Bowl and Masher

Merry Christmas to you all, I too have found many great ideas on this board. I have organised both my house and my gifts this year so December has been the quiet month I wanted!
All family members have got what I would consider more thoughtful presents this year due to me being organised and preparing properly.
Thank you to all who have contributed over the past months, it really is appreciated
