This year I have been more organised than I ever have been in my life, my presents are done, wrapped, some under the tree and others in the loft, I have handmade things I could never imagine I would have the ability to do (door hangers, snowman soup, nappy cakes etc etc) and the best bit of all is that we are 2 days from christmas and everything is done, so I am not rushing around, I am going to have my hair cut (first time in about 3 years!) I am getting my little girlys hair cut, and I am going to spend the next couple of days not panicking cause I know I have everything sorted and done! (OH is still rushing about trying to get pressies for me ... who knows when he will wrap them!)
I am working tomorrow at the childrens christmas party, I have the costumes for both children sorted and ready to go. I am feeling really christmassy and not stressed at all!
I guess if I stop all of my babbling, I just wanted to say a massive thankyou to everyone, I could name so many names of those who have helped me, but there are also so many of you who have sent PM's of support whilst I go through a horrible court case! so a big massive thankyou to everyone ... and even more so ...
Happy Christmas to you and your family

many thanks to everyone who has offered advcie and ideas for a debt free organised christmas, without everyone on this site i would still be xmas shopping, wrapping presents and running around like a headless chicken.
so i am now going to relax until xmas eve when i shall be cooking my very expensive turkey ( thought i was clever and joined butchers xmas club only to find out today that my turkey is ££££)
thanks everyone and have a great christmas

Merry Christmas.
Thanks to all on MSE that have inspired me not to be a stress head this year. I have learnt that less is more, and learned that you can give a lot on a tight budget. I have been inspired to make things that I never dreamed possible and look forward to using my new skills in the future.
Love you all, wishing you peace and more money saving in the year to come. Wins in 09 = A vodka cocktail kit thing lol, £150 Amazon voucher.0 -
Hi RustyFlange and fellow MSE'rs
I've finally got round to joining today even though I have been trawling the forum for months.
Just wanted to say a big thank you to you all for the help, advice and tips I've picked up along the way. I feel like a stuck record at home because all you ever hear me say lately is "on MSE it says .....". I think this is more to do with the fact that I am on bereavement leave at the moment, as I recently lost my dad and whilst this last year, I have been getting my finances more in check, his recent passing, has made me re-evaluate how I am living my life.
Anyway, just wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I look forward to getting to know you all in the New Year. Enjoy :rudolf:I got there - I'm debt free and intend to stay that way. If I haven't got the cash, it doesn't get bought. It's as simple as that.0 -

Happy Christmas to everyone. I am also all organized this year and have even started on next year. Though I have to say no one likes my bargain fake tree bought in last Dec sale. So next year we are back to a real one.Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:

I am extremely proud of the lovely hampers I have made this year. And of course this would not have been without the inspiration from people on these boards. Thank you very much, you have made present giving much less stressful and so much cheaper.
Have a Beautiful Christmas!

Merry Christmas! to all you talented ladies out there.
There is such a wealth of infomation in all of the threads, and reading about everyones passions is a real inspiration.
I think it's really lovely how everyone passes on information that they have spent hours researching and there is always someone on hand with the answer to a question.
Keep up the good work everyone, and I hope you all have a long earned rest.
Happy Christmas!0
