XP - SP3 - Firefox - MSE forum

For the last couple of days I've been completely unable to browse MSE forums in Firefox, all I get are blank pages after a considerable amount of time trying to load. The main site works ok and the forum works fine in IE7, just not in FF

I don't recall there having been any recent updates to Firefox but windows update installed SP3 a couple of days ago, just before things started going wrong.

Any ideas what the problem might be please?

Oh, Firefox version is: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.4) Gecko/2008102920 Firefox/3.0.4

I also installed NoScript a week or so ago but it's been working fine with that so far so don't think that's the problem.

Cheers

Firstly, you need to upgrade Firefox to 3.0.5 as there's several serious security flaws in 3.0.4,

I also have NoScript installed and have no difficulty in viewing MSE in this installation. Methinks you have a problem, Houston!

For some reason it's working fine again this morning!!!! Me thinks gremlins must have got in the system but fingers crossed they've gone now :D

Just downloading 3.0.5 now. Thought I had the latest version but must have missed an update somewhere. Just remembered too that windows had more updates waiting to install when I went to turn PC off last night so wonder if they fixed the problem as it only seemed to go wrong after SP3 was installed
