Another HSBC question

Does anyone know if a balance transfer counts as a payment?

My HSBC card wants payment no later than 30th Jan, 1 day before I get paid.

I was wondering if I was to BT the min payment to another 0% card would that count as a payment?

That should be fine - I have paid off balances on my credit cards several times by balance transfer and each time it appears on the statement as "payment". I don't think it matters where the money comes from as long as it gets there in time.
  • Anyone else confirm this please.
  • I agree with cornerclose, balance transfers have always counted as payments when I have done them.
