I'm looking for a cheap but good memory stick about 500 mb or above - not too bothered about 'named' sticks. Do you know of a good site to look? (Hope I'm not asking for too much here!)

Some companies based in Jersey have the benefit of being able to ship goods to the UK with no VAT charged. This can make them cheaper though watch out for the delivery charges.
eg about £17-18 with postage of £3.95 at http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/default.php?cat=6&type=6070&man=0&filterwords=&go=SEARCH&comp=&sort=2a&page=1
eg about £17-18 with postage of £3.95 at http://www.mymemory.co.uk/USB-Flash-Drives
eg about £18-20 inc vat with postage varying depending on your item price and time to deliver. Expect £2.50 to £4 p&p.

I bought this, so did a few others from this site.
It's pretty good and a brilliant price!

Also try popping into your local Somerfield store - they're selling a Medion MP3 player (1GB) right now for only £24.99. It doubles up as a USB flash drive and even has an SD/MMC card reader/expansion card slot built in, just in case you need to beef up the memory even more.
I bought one last week and it's a cracking piece of kit, although I know some people have complained that transfer rates aren't as fast as they perhaps should be.
Still, a 1GB USB drive and MP3 player in one for only £24.99 - can you really complain?!0
