Has anyone had any experience with this account? As Im looking to open an a/c which allows withdrawls and deposits (with no penalties) at least once a month and this seems the best around. Or does anyone know of a better account?
Thanks

I am also interested in this. I have a A&L current account and the Plussaver is coming to the end of its promotional rate, so I'm thinking about opening one of these for short-term savings (I already have a eSaver for long-term savings).0

i've had one of these for a few months.
not a bad rate, but is variable of course, and includes a bonus payable until Jan 4 2010, so plenty of time there
easy to open, works well, haven't actually withdrawn any money, just transferred in several times.
you can transfer money to/from A&l accounts and non A&L linked account
I don't have any other A&l account, so at the moment i can transfer in from non-A&L bank using DD, but after Jan 20 they will only accept bank transfer.
I've used non-A&L bank transfers in several times and it works really well. Their sort code allows 'Faster Payments' and they arrive fairly quickly, some almost instant.

If your current account is with A&L and you think you might need your money in a hurry, ie to pay a bill 'on the spot', be careful because the transfers between accounts may not be instant...

I opened one of these with a small amount of in it - just in case I need to get the cash out of the e-Saver - can then transfer most of the money into one of these at beginning of the month and then anything left back again a month later, at least I get interest on the e-saver money for the month that way."How could I have been so mistaken as to trust the experts" - John F Kennedy 19620

i have one as well as a premier current account and a plus saver. it does say access within 24 hours for the online tracker but I've always found it instantaneous when transferring to my A&L current account. therefore in my experience, it's exactly the same as the plus saver, but with a better rate.
i now keep my current account empty, keep my cash in the online tracker, and move it into the plus saver as I spend the equivalent amount on my credit card. so my plus saver is now my (fairly pointless) stooze pot.
If I were you I'd open the online tracker, just because it has a better rate at present than the plus saver. though the rate can be expected to drop, it has a larger bonus rate than the plus saver, so the chances are the rate will remain above it. you're therefore better off just replacing your plus saver with an online tracker, or just splitting the money between as I do, however you see fit.0
