Direct Debit Query

Hello
I wonder if anyone could help me with the following query;
I noticed today that two direct debits have been set up from the same company under two different reference numbers, the company is Close Premium Finance. I dont ever remember singing up for anything with them or agreeing to two direct debits certinaly, they are both around £15 one is £14 i think.
What should i do really contact the bank first, cancel the dd and risk them asking for charges if its something real or try contacting the company with the direct debit references.
Many thanks

Well basically they are a loans company.
Have you bought anything (eg from a shop, or by mail order, or even online) recently on credit? It's possible that the outlet uses CPF to provide its credit. So you might have thought you were signing up with a shop whereas in reality it was this company.0 -
I think they provide credit when people choose to pay their car insurance (or similar) by monthly installments.
Does this help explain it?0 -
Yes i thought of that too but i didnt sign up for any insurance in November when the payments started or purchased anything on finance that i know of.0
