Looks like a good letter to me.
However, you may want to rewrite this bit, as it does not read quite right to me.Ivrytwr3 wrote:But this is still a clearer deadline than Curry’s “sometime next week”. Whereas Currys had been given 2 weeks notice and still failed in their order.[size=-2] If this post was unhelpful, please tell me.

Excellent letter.
The Chairman of DSG is: Sir John Collins.
THe CEO is: John Clare
Other names here: http://dsgportal01.dixons.co.uk/wps/portal/!ut/p/.cmd/cs/.ce/7_0_A/.s/7_0_GR/_s.7_0_A/7_0_GR
Send your letter to the registered address on their invoices and send it recorded delivery and mkae sure you don't loose the slip from RM.
Good luck with them, and don't use them again. I have had big problems with Comet - see my thread : http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=123817 I would stay away from DSG and Comet from now on.
Hope this helps

Update:
Today my in-laws received a response starting something like "thank you for you letter addressed to Mr John Clare, blah, blah, blah. I have been tasked to respond on his behalf".
They then went on to say after a thorough investigation and then detailing what they believe caused the mistake, they gave £40 worth of comet vouchers. So although cash would have been preferable, after moving into a new home and still requiring further electrical items, they are happy with that.
So thanks for all the advice.0 -
Excellent result and a very generous settlement .. although I am confused as to why Currys give COmet vouchers? (maybe it is too early in the morning for me and I have missed something which wouldn't be a first)

I had to pop into this thread... what can i say its BOSTON what do you expect... and yes i live in this area and the whole area is a pit , the customer service in most places in the town is non exsistent and quite frankley when the sea level rises and finally reclaims the land the town is built on then i, along with others will cheer a loud Hooray!! .. but just let me sell my house and move first haha!!:EasterBun ...what more do I need to say?!
