  • Good morning everyone! DH is now on holiday, so we're spending this morning doing the last few jobs, and preparing food, then we're off for a long walk after an early lunch. I'll post my own list later ;):D

    Monday Mayhem..

    1. [strike]Make sure you have all the shopping you need to take you through to next week.. milk and bread especially![/strike]
    2. Make sure the last of the presents are wrapped I will not have people sitting up while 5am on Christmas morning wrapping! I always do my wrapping on Christmas Eve :p;)
    3. [strike]Have we located stockings? [/strike]
    4. [strike]S&S the kitchen[/strike]
    5. [strike]S&S the bathroom/s and loo's[/strike]
    6. [strike] Clean the oven and hob ready for your feast![/strike]
    7. [strike]Clean the fridge to accommodate you bounty of food[/strike]
    8. Change any bedding you need to get washed before the fat guy arrives.. and I do not mean the OH/parent/ etc that's for today - DH and the children do it so much better than I do :T
    9. [strike]Make sure your timetable for christmas day is sorted and everyone knows their tasks.. who is spud peeling? Who is stuffing the bird etc..?[/strike]
    10. [strike]Catch up on the laundry .. ironing is tomorrows job![/strike][strike]
    11. Phone someone you 'forgot' to post a card to in time.. just so they know you've not forgotten them... [/strike]
    12. Spend at least half an hour doing something for yourself.. reading.. relaxing.. goggling... remember you are important too. I baked yesterday, with my new Christmas CD in the background - very relaxing for me
    13. [strike]Change pet bedding and wash blankies etc.. we don't want them putting you off your christmas sprouts! [/strike]
    14. [strike]Dust round the whole downstairs [/strike]
    15. [strike]do a crazy HHC decluttering downstairs[/strike]

    Morning All

    Did think about nipping to Asda this morning but I don't think I'll bother, Just want some tiger bread and that's it unless I get some apples to make a crumble tomorrow.
    My friend's coming over about 10ish so need to get some bits done before then.

    Lil-me hope DS2 and the rest of you are feeling better this morning.

    Pigpen - hope you don't come down with anything.

    Valli - hope you're feeling better this morning.

    I want to:

    Empty and reload TD
    Empty and reload WM
    Empty radiators
    Hoover settee
    Hoover LR
    and anything else I manage to get done!

    I will -
    S&S the kitchen - possibly wipe over the cupboard doors
    S&S the d/s toilet
    Sweep & mop kitchen floor
    Unload and reload WM
    Loads of shredding to do - if the floor is dry.

    Here's my day - it's been rather hectic, but stuff got done and that's the main thing.
    Work in the morning, leaving early to pick up boys from the bus.

    If I don't get here again before the big day . . .

    Monday Mayhem..

    1. Children... quick.. tidy your rooms you don't want Santa thinking you don't look after your stuff.. he might not leave any presents! YEAH RIGHT . . .
    2. Iron yesterdays wash mountain AND TODAYS AND TOMORROWS
    3. Vacuum through DONE
    4. Mop the kitchen floor!
    5. Get rid of the washing up.. delegation is good! waiting for it to be dried
    6. get out any special christmas crockery and make sur eit is all clean and nice to use.. placemats etc too!
    7. Prepare a list for that last second shopping DONE
    8. Declutter your desk.. if it is anything like mine it is full of receipts and invoices!
    9. WRAP WRAP WRAP! YES YES YES
    10. Make a note of when the binmen are coming!!! SORTED
    11. Spend half an hour doing NOTHING!!.. absolutely nothing!!!! Just sit.. and relax with a drink and a treat! OH, PLEASE . . .
    And the rest of the day:

    Borrow neighbours clothes line to hang the washing on
    Get kids out of bed to help
    Visit farmers market for strawberries, raspberries, etc[/strike]

    [strike]Buy last minute other groceries - cream etc
    Take all recycling down to recycling centre
    Finish wrapping pressies[/strike]

    [strike]Make sure kids have finished their buying
    Drinkies at work at noon[/strike]

    Make rocky road and marshmallow balls
    [strike]Make beds up for kids coming home tomorrow[/strike]

    oops - forgot to post my very quick list for tomorrow:

    8am - work
    11.30 leave work and pick up my big boys :T :T :T :T
    Spend some time with all my boys together - bliss - until they start arguing LOL
    Dust
    Quick pick up in every room
    Wash kitchen and entry floors
    SS Bathroom
    Sort who is doing what on Christmas Day
    Dependant on the weather - wash pets bedding
    If I don't do it tonight - make rocky road and marshmallow balls
    And most importantly . . . Just enjoy my family!!!

    Had a wobble last night......burst into tears which came from absolutely nowhere and couldn't stop, poor OH didn't know what to do lol he gave me hugs and lots of them till I stopped - he had a snotty shoulder :D think it was stress that had built up - feel fine this morning.

    work till 2 ish today then I'm off, I love my job dearly but I can't wait. Got to brave the shops when I'm finished *groan* few last bits (still) I've been gven lots of pressies and wine and chocs and money and cards off all my customers - that is something that has touched me deeply cause I wasn't expecting it, I suppose you tip the cleaner the same as you would the milkman :confused:

    anyway, I ramble......will have to go and get todays list then see what's what for the flying front...

    9. Have a skim through the TV guide and decide what you want to watch.. it saves missing bits of stuff if you know what is on and when!! Don't forget to make time for Queenie! Do that everynight - but won't be watching The Queen
    10. Toy boxes can be banished upstairs! none to move
    11. Wash any soft furnishings in need of freshening up
    12. Tidy up coats and shoes and suchlike
    13. WRAP WRAP WRAP!
    14. Make a note of when the binmen are coming!!! today and next Tuesday - no change for me this year.
