REPOSSESSION - collecting info

Are you or is anyone you know facing repossession in the next few months? I'd like to get an idea of what is really going on, not just stats on repos already carried out but how far away people are from losing their homes.

I am worried, both personally and professionally, about the numbers and I think more needs to be done. Here seems as good a place as any to gather data; someone needs to be looking at where this is going over the next year, taking notice and planning for the worst.

Me too. Get them repossessed quicker and less gimmicks to allow debtors to shirk their repayments .

Maybe. Some of my mother's friends - maybe. A few that got in to BTL late on, and others with places abroad. Should be an interesting year 2009.

Greed And Overstretching Is The Cause For Most....
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.

If they had the appropriate insurance in place to protect them against illness or redundancy, they wouldn't have this worry

If the answer is they couldn't afford it, the the answer to that is they are exactly the people who needed it
