"Desktop Maestro" has disappeared from Desktop, Sys Tray & Start Menu.

Hi

When I booted up a few days ago I noticed this had happened to my installation of PC Tool's Desktop Maestro:

SysTray: icon had disappeared;
Start Menu: the 'launch' icon had disappeared but the other options remained; and
Desktop: the icon had been replaced by a generic, non-descript file icon, which I, stupidly, then deleted and emptied the Recycle bin, not realising what I was doing.

It seems only the launch icons have disappeared; everything else remains.
I haven't uninstalled the program, so how can I get it back?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

    Can anyone help?

    I don't know whether I could simply re-install the program as it was a free version of the commercial program, given away by Computer Active mag, and may have a one-time installation limit to it. I do have the licence name and Licence Key, though.

    It seems like something has become corrupted in the installation.

    Try a System Restore and roll back when everything was fine

    Unfortunately, I can't roll back the P.C. as a System Restore point has already been made, with the Desktop Maestro problem in place.

    I need to find the cause of the problem.

    Hi adaadat

    I would try to re-install this software (remove old one first)its not working so you've got nothing to lose :confused: could well be a time limit on your previous license/key
