Hi

I just found this great site and wondered if anyonce can help?

I currently have a maxed cash ISA with HSBC and have come across £10k which i would like to save / invest. I will never need it straight away and would be happy "locking" it away for upto a year at a time - anythoughts on what i am best to do with it.

I am also able to save £500 per month, and currently put it in an instance access account ready to max my ISA every April - the rest i spend on treats etc - can i be more effective?

Thanks for your help.
Mark

  • you can get a high interest mini ISA (you'll find a link to the best interest in Martins ISA comparison chart in the ISA section) then the Halifax has a great regular saver for a maximum £250 per month ...the rest you can stick in a high interest easy access online saver account...again you can find a comparison chart for best interest in the savings and investment section of this very brilliant website.
