in Credit cards
A card that can only be used on-line and every time it is used an email pops into my mailbox and tells me.
3 times this year I have had fraudulent amounts show up on cards. I use mine online a lot, whereas hubby doesn't, and each time it has been my card which has been scammed. So I was thinking today that I would keep one card just for on line, but then thought of what I would really like.
Are there any like this out there?
Thanks

Egg money is set up so you can receive email updates once a week. It has been my saviour on the occasion that I was scammed back in January this year. It only gives you the total balance on that date but it immediately highlighted that my balance was much higher than it should've been. It also gives you the additional guarantee of online fraud protection.
Alternatively you could try the Cahoot webcard which Martin has written about in his articles. It is linked to the current account only now (was the CC as well until cahoot stopped the CC).
Anyone else got other suggestions?0 -
Forgot - Egg Money has been suspended as far as new applications are concerned though at the moment. Keep checking their site to see when it comes back!0

As CopperPlate suggests, the Cahoot Webcard would be ideal: a one-off CC number and maximum amount limit for each transaction. I use it and it works well.

No such thing as a Credit card that can be only used online, not in this country anyway...kind of pointless having a financial tool that is restricted to electronic purchases only.Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0

Tis true, they still process payments the same way as if you buy in a store so how would it know? As for the email, that would be a good idea, do any cards do it?0 -
first direct offer text updates - you can have them set up for a daily frequency if you want, and it gives you a mini statement of 6 transactions each time. Not as on-demand as you want, but certainly keeps you regularly updated.0
