Bit of help regarding barclaycard goldfish card

Hi, i recieved my barclaycard goldfish card yesterday. I activated it and registered for online account management. when i logged in it said this card cannot be viewed and when i click to view my card details it gives me an error page. and also i keep getting the card declined when i tried to make a purchase online. i tried to make a purchase on amazon yesterday evening and ths afternoon. both were refused even though i entered the right details.

could it be my card isn't activated yet as it's the weekend. sorry i'm new to using barclaycard so don't know the in's and out's so to speak.

Would not have thought so, the card should be live. But fraud prevention systems could be stopping the online payments, more so with a new card.

Try using it in a shop to see if it works, or call customer service to check.

well i got to the bottom of it. i phoned customer services and they said they have closed my account!! i was passed from one person to another. 5 in total. they said i need to send more ID before they will reopen the account. well i sent them all the ID i have bank account statement and bt phone bill when i applyed for the card. they claim they never got either.

i told them it was a bit stupid to send a card if the account was closed. they asked me to send proof of ID either driving licesne or passport. neither of whch i have. nor have i got anything lse they listed as proof of ID.

completely appaling service by barclaycard. i've now got a card i can't even use. i wish i'd never applyed for the thing now
