Check out your local colleges for CPC courses as YOU will need one to show competence to hold an O licence. You will have to have proper parking facilities, and maintainance arrangements in place to satisfy the Traffic Commissioners before they will grant an O licence also.

You will also need to prove that you have suitable financial standing to keep it maintained - the Traffic Commissioner will require you to demonstrate that you have an amount of funds readily available PER vehicle, which has just gone up due to the Euro - £ exchange rate. It's something like £8k for the 1st vehicle and about 1/2 that for each additional one.

I really suggest you do some research, including reading the numerous publications on VOSAs website - it's not just a case of buying a vehicle and driving it.

Just found this on another forum that I use.

It's the VOSA hotline, and I'm unsure if it still works, but what it does,it goes to the VOSA intelligence unit, who will take your details, and then go from there.

You don't have to give your name,if you don't wish to,and all calls are taken in confidence, but the more info you can give, the better.

    0870 60 60 440

The VOSA number now is 0300 123 9000 (a bit cheaper!) One of the options is for confidential reporting or it also gives a free phone number.
