Cant we have something like the opposite of thanks. A few people click on a no thanks button and they cant post at least for a while.

Thats just going to be abused.

Well what I meant was x amount of people say at least 5, then it would at least temporary block them from posting say 12 hours

Or how about a BG being able to do it and able to block them temporary until abuse cant come to sort it out

Either way something needs doing as one person or possibly a bot can cause so much distribution

Well they have to do something because this is just crazy. As much as I hate them maybe they will have to do a word verification thing to stop the bots.

20 reports i've just done now. How many more times is this going to go on? Something needs to be done asap about this because it will drive users away from the site and it will attract more spammers.

If I want to report a serial spammer, I just send a link to their profile page rather than reporting individual posts.

Shame the software can't detect when the same post is being made on more than 1 (or more than 2) boards.

How does that work Fermi? Is it a quick way of getting rid? How do I do it?

Just replace the link to the post in the report with the link to the users profile.

Not sure if it makes things any quicker, but it is at least saying "this person is a spammer, here is their profile, please look at all their posts".

Must be easier for the abuse team compared to having to check through multiple reports only to find it's a spammer they have already dealt with.
