barclaycard purchase protection query - urgent please

I've just bought an item on my barclaycard costing £109. It is possible for me to get this item for £10 less, using a discount code but this would take it under £100.

Does anyone know if barclaycard still do purchase protection (eg. loss or damage up to 90 days) as I'm unable to find this out on their website.

Also, if I DID get the protection, would this cover the item if it was a gift for someone else?

Would appreciate answers today PLEASE (xmas pressie, last chance to order etc.)

Who not get a definitive answer from Barclaycard?

They are the only ones who will give you the correct answer - people on here like to help but often will use guesswork or out of date information.

If you give it to someone as a present then surely its nothing to do with you - keep the receipt and you'll get a 12 month guarantee which you can pass on to the recipient if needs be.
