my local Post Office

I love my local post office - the big shops could learn a lot!!

personal service
open at convenient times - until 6.30pm and from v early!
can pay money & cheques in & withdraw cash for free
can get foreign currency

all in a little shop!

the other day i sent something special delivery, got home (only across the road) and realised i had missed something off the address. phoned them up and the guy, who i know, corrected it straight away for me. :)

it's also a moneysaving place - the milk is cheaper than sainsburys, and i'm not tempted to buy other stuff. and you get all the local gossip at the same time!!!

The one that's nearest to my home now is super, specialises in selling cheap chocolate, also usually has cheap cake and crips. And sells milk and papers and cards and small amount of frozen food and basics of just about everything. Couldn't be friendlier and more helpful. Oh, they sell multi-journey bus tickets as well. Love 'em.

Our local post office are absolutely brilliant. I took in a small parcel of paperwork to be sent special delivery. It just went over the threshold of cost between around £6 to £18, so she unpacked and re-packed it for me with less wrapping, it was then below the threshold and I saved £12 of postage. That's what I call service!!!
