It says something when a post from PP is a nice return to normality.

If it's boring here, why post? Seems like a waste of time when you could be off revelling in the modern-day Eden that is Purley.

Purley, squire? Famous place! Know what I mean, nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more!

    Cue Monty Python:

LOL, this post reminds me a bit of the Fawlty Towers episode where the old lady complains about the view - "Thats Torquay, what did you expect to see from the window of a Torquay Hotel?"

    It's boring now. Boring.

It doesn't matter how often you repeat yourselves - house prices and sales will do what they're going to do. And at the moment - that isn't much.

I can't understand how some of you can keep repeating yourselves day in day out.................don't you bore easily?

!!!!!! pickled, it is only boring to you because the subject is not rampant HPI.

I had wondered where you had got to but you are obviously a one-dimensional character when the discussion is other than what you want you've chucked your toys out of your pram and slagged everyone off. ;) A tell tale sign is the 'at the moment - that isn't much' line which screams bitterness.

There is a worrying trend on here lately of bulls attacking forum members about *shock horror* discussing house prices on a house price forum.

    forum
noun1. a public meeting or assembly for open discussion 2. a public facility to meet for open discussion

Obviously a very bitter and twisted lot aren't you? ;)

You'll not make something happen by constantly wishing it, or tapping it out on your keyboard!:money:

No need - it is already well and truely happening....

    Love it.

Maybe PP should take up with the other Boards too - complain on the Shop But Don't Drop Board that all they ever talk about is...shopping, or on the Greenfingered Board is gardening.

She could complain to one a day; get them to change their ways.....

Maybe PP is an anarchist? ;)

How about she writes to Heat and tells them to stop wittering about celebs, to Gordon to stop wittering about politics and talk about cooking or something. We could swap Gordons and get Gordon Ramsay to run the country for a change!

The possibilities are endless! Or not.

    Fun whilst it lasted.

Maybe PP's been reading too much Mr Topsy Turvy? ;)

Is Butlins open this time of year ?

Well if it is open they don't have one in the Bahamas.:D

I thought holiday camps closed down before I was born - but you learn something new every day!:j

Anyway, as some of you have mentioned Purley I thought I'd put a link to this house which is for sale:

    http://www.teamprop.co.uk/properties/SHP0850/10+Bedroom+House+For+Sale+in+PURLEY+Surrey.aspx

It belongs to Francis Rossi, but don't fret, he hasn't been repossessed:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: his kids have flown the nest and he's moving just a mile up the road. Still in Purley.

David Bowie has a house round this way too. So for all you old groupies you know where to come!:D

Purley remains a suburb of Croydon. I'd rather be in the sun. Which is where I am.

    Enjoy the gloom.

The sun soon becomes boring when you haven't got your own home!:p

Hope the mossies and redbacks aren't biting you!:D
  • Just remembered something, General..............don't forget to SLIP, SLAP SLOP!

What with your milk bottle white skin and ginger hair you REALLY need to keep out of the sun! If you do gown down to the beach (avoid Bondi - it's a grafitti strewn DUMP) don't forget to wear a BIG hat and keep yourself covered up!

The sun can be very dangerous - especially for ginger-haired people - and you don't want to add to your woes by getting all pruney and wrinkly!
