My sister has £18k which she has finally got out of an foreign account and needs to put it in a UK account for the next year when she will prob use it as a deposit to buy a house. Basically she just wants a simple account, internet is okay so is no access but she already used this years ISA entitlement, can anyone suggest an account with a good rate fixed if possible?

Alternatively, try the Tesco Internet saver account. The rate is variable and will reduce to 5.1% from 8/1.
