uggbootsshoes.com - scam?

Options
My girlfriend ordered some ugg boots from uggbootsshoes.com on 9th December, she paid through PayPal, but has received nothing from them, not even an order confirmation. She contacted them two days ago and they said they would give her a tracking number by today, I've just spoken to them via their live chat and they now claim that they can do nothing without her order number (which we've never had). They won't commit to giving a refund or resolving the problem, can anyone advise if they know if this site is legit or not? I've got my doubts but am not 100% sure.

No, she paid with a debit card which is why I'm worried. Can you be more specific, I've searched for "ugg" but can't find an official thread.

if she paid (check the bank account), what did the confirmation page say after paying? If it either didn't say anything or didn't give any ref I would be suspicious.

but if they have a livechat, it's quite an expense for a con artist to go to!
Remember the time he ate my goldfish? And you lied and said I never had goldfish. Then why did I have the bowl Bart? Why did I have the bowl?

It looks a pretty poor site, poor translation
please feel free to contact us. We will sit and waiting for your needs.

There is every chance these are going to be fakes. Try contacting UGG boots directly to see if they are a distributor.

A URL like that is a blatant scam. Only take paypal? Even worse

Thanks for the replies. I told her to be careful as there were a lot of sites around ripping people off for these and when I saw the site I instantly thought scam. The fact that they only take PayPal and Western Union says it all for me.

We've got an open dispute with PayPal, not sure how much good this will do though! If anyone else has anything to add please do, all info welcome!

Quick question, would it be worth ringing the bank and asking them to do a chargeback? She paid £103 for the boots, a lot of money for nothing in return? I just don't hold out much hope of getting the money back via PayPal!

Result! We claimed the money back via PayPal yesterday and have had confirmation today that the £103 has been refunded! Now, does anyone know of a legit site to by uggs from>?
