Best Sat Nav for around £120

I've had both Garmins and TomToms. Currently I am using a Garmin Nuvi, and my parents the TomTom.
I prefer some of the options on tomtoms however I can't bare the low resolution mapping (on lower end models). On this count the entry level Garmins wins hands down. I like the fact that you can get POI's more readily for tomtoms, and that they are more easily customised. As a day to day work horse with a clear display, I love the Garmin. Mine is a nice widescreen version, but I wish I'd opted for the TMC. (even though my previous car had this built into the in car sat nav and was pretty useless)
My advise would be go with the Garmin, mainly because IMO the mapping on the entry level tomtoms are looking really dated now.
In terms of reliability, they are both on a par with each other. My farts hospitalize small children

Instore at TJ Hughes had some bargins. A friend picked up a wide screen Garmin for £85. This is the Garmin online before they took it off.0

try totalpda.co.uk; I got a tomtom 720 for 116 pounds. Reconditioned but as new with 12 month warranty and free updates mean it has functionality of 7300
