freebie_junkie, the standard rate is €5 each for a day ticket on dublin bus, so its well worth getting the 3 or 5 day tickets which work out cheaper (all unlimited travel) - off the top of my head I think they are €10 and €15 respectively..
its well worth taking the open top bus tour around dublin, to see what you fancy visiting first.. you can get on and off it as many times as you want..
plenty of attractions to see/visit.. the guinness brewery tour was ok, wasn't thrilled by it..
temple bar is over priced IMO and been full of drunken hen/stag parties everytime I've visited.. plenty of other pubs/bars that are nicer
lots of places of interest, never get round to seeing them tho..
I'm a bit of an anorak.. love mooching around old buildings and museums.. kilmainham gaol looks interesting, gonna make sure I visit next time i'm there!
went to the science and industry museum the other week.. nice day out, hadn't been for a while.. nothing new in it really.. had a good celeb spot, robbie coltrane and jools holland were there with their families..
have you been to the lowry and the imperial war museum? they're worth a visit
not tried it yet.. but there's also the people's history museum in town
can't think of anything else.. way past my bedtime!.. I'll let you know if I do!
remembered another.. have you been to the albert dock in liverpool..? plenty of free attractions there (maritime museum etc) bit expensive for parking though0 -
yeah we went on my birtday it was quality!

Hi
A rambler day ticket costs €5. This allows a passenger to unlimited travel on all Dublin services including the Airlink service. A special offer Handy Pack allows you to save 37% with 5 day Adult Rambler One Day tickets costing only €17.
Or if you didnt want that
Dublin Bus offer special city centre shopper fares from Monday to Sunday between 1000 and 1630. Fares on designated city centre routes will only cost €0.50 for adults and €0.50 for children.
This is a good site it will give you a few ideas for your stay , pubs , Pub Grub & loads of other things
