To be honest, At this stage you may as well try anything and everything.

I have had most success with https://www.threatfire.com in that it quarantined something.
    Spybot mixed result.

Lavasoft identified it after thorough scan that takes ages however its intermitent sometimes it stops entirely during scan. fails to remove it though.

The Ebay Seller with 100% feedback having complained about this several times
has offered to talk me through uninstallation over the phone hes a personal seller NOT a business.

So far I am moneysaving by not using by credit card on this pc for online purchases for obvious reasons. :)

If as a final resort I have to format and reinstall and cannot find the Windows XP Pro reinstallation disc what options are open to me.?

    Thanks

    Samantha

    Try spybot
    http://www.download.com/Spybot-Search-amp-Destroy/3000-8022_4-10122137.html
    Tick TEA TIMER when installing
    Reboot
Hopefully the tea timer mode will catch the keylogger in action so you can stop it from running
I also notice you have kaspersky running
Did the firewall not pop up when you first installed the keylogger?
If so you should be able to go into the settings and disable it from connecting

Spysweeper has always had a good rep, but as far as I remember, the free version is only a trial and won't necessarily remove everything it finds during scanning...but if you can get hold of a copy it's got to be worth a go...

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple :D
  • You could try Comodo defense+ and block whats trying to access the keyboard but there are alot of legit programs that access the keyboard http://www.comodo.com/
