dell xps laptop wont charge

my xps laptop charged fine last night. been using it today and have just plugged it in and it wont charge.i have the xps set on a power saving level when running on the battery,so when i plug it in the screen normally goes to its max bright level.
i have two mains chargers and have tried both of these, the screen stays on its dull power saver level.also where it normally says "plugged in, charging" it says nothing, any ideas??

its 9mths old so still under warranty

  • Hi there I have a different laptop but had the same problem. I found that if you twisted the cable around abit by the socket to the computer it would start charging but only if you held it in a specific place. After a while mine obviously shorted out and smoke came out the back. Currently awaiting repair.
My advise use the warranty before you end up with smoke like me.
