SVR rates don't (for the most) have guarantees to pass on any rate cuts. If that is a feature you require you need to look at tracker products.0

1. Get out your mortgage paperwork
2. Ring the customer service number and ask them.I'm not cynical I'm realistic

I'm finding it hard to understand your posts. There is no 'rip off' - in any case, your lender is there to make money, not run a charity.
If you want to clarify what your rate is you need to ring Abbey rather than post on a forum.0 -

Oh dear oh dear.
My point is - you want an answer about your specific mortgage - the best people to speak to would be....the company your mortgage is with.
If you're going to be abusive then I'll leave it here.
P.S. you may wish to work on your spelling.0 -

You don't rcv advice here, if you wanted advice you would go to adviser. What you rcv on here is people's opinion, some you may like some you may not. If you're coming on an open forum you cannot be selective with the opinions that may be given and you have to take the good with the bad Even if it is something you don't like, rather than be abusive just ignore it.0 -
If you're saying your mortage is definately on SVR which is how I read your posts the original reply is correct.
No, they do not have to pass on all the cuts to you. A tracker will (unless it is collared), SVR won't. It's not a rip off, simply the cost of borrowing to a lender isn't directly linked to the base rate - it's linked to the LIBOR (inter bank rate).
If you're asking whether we think you should look elsewhere, you need to weigh up all the options available to you - you may find something cheaper and worthwhile if your eligable for it.
BTW - I don't think calling someone a t-t because they are struggling to reply to badly worded requests for help is at all appropriate!0
