Wondering why Capital One has blocked my card?

Hiya,
I just tried to use my card online ( plenty of available credit ) and it was declined twice.
So I logged into my account to check all was ok, and it was.
Just gave them a phone and the guy said the block was put on my card today and that I need to phone teh authorisation team tomorrow to find out why. He said that if they review an account and see what could be a fraud transaction they will block it - the last time I used the card was on the 14th Dec for petrol. This is all I can assume they might have flagged up, but just because I hadnt used the card to buy petrol before - would that be enough for them to think it was fraud?
I know no one can give me the answer, but just wondering what you think?
Thanks

It might have been the online purchase you were trying to make that flagged it up. One of the first purchases I made on my Barclaycard was to ebuyer.com and it was flagged up by their fraud system. Ebuyer do a security check transaction before taking payment, and it was the security check transaction that flagged up on Barclaycard's fraud system. Hence the online purchase was immediately halted.Cashback Earnt so far in 2009: AMEX £133.93, wepromiseto.co.uk £67.07, Barclaycard £25, MobilePhoneExchange: £28. TOTAL: £254.000

Thanks BitterSTAR,
It could well have been me trying to use it last night I supose, I gave them a call this morning and theres been no transactions against the account that I haven't used it for myself so thats a relief, but theyr sending me out a new card just incase.
You can't fault them for being secure about these things, and I'd rather it was blocked than someone was able to rack up loadsa debt on it, but just before xmas is a pain in the bum, when I was planning on having it as a back up when I go to Scotland after xmas! lol
Oh and I did warn the guy that if I have the new card by the time we go up to Scotland then the first place it may well be used is there just incase they block it again! lol xxx0
