Cleaner

Thinking of gettin a cleaner for a couple of hours a week in East Belfast. How easy do you think it would be to find someone and what do you think the going rate would be?

Oh I/ we too would be so interested in this...my sister has been looking for someone to help her out as she hasnt been well.......Also in East Belfast. She has found it virtually impossible to get someone.....Time for you, which is a local franchise would only come a minimum of 3 hours @ £12 per hour.....
  • thanks niceday. Surprised to hear your sis is finding it difficult to find someone. Would have thought in these cash strapped times...

£6 per hour is the going rate if you're paying in cash. Those cleaning companies are horrendously expensive so I agree that the card in the newsagent/notice board at Tesco is a much better idea. I have a cleaning lady that I just couldn't do without and she has several other clients also. However, she's getting a bit worried that she will lose some of these jobs as so many people are feeling the financial squeeze and this would be one of the first areas you would economise on. Good luck with finding someone good and please remember to check references!!

Can I recommend these people who I used for my mother before she went into a care home http://www.maid2clean.co.uk/belfast/index.htm
The rates arent too bad considering it includes insurance which you will need to take out if you employ someone directly. Not to have it would be very unwise!

Sorry I took so long to reply. No, I'm in North Antrim and appreciate that rates could be lower here. Found anyone yet?
