Hi All
I have just come into a bit of money and want to Invest £2500 of it, but not sure whats best for a maximum return.
Can anyone suggest high Interest accounts, or maybe Shares is another option?
Any suggestions welcome

You need to make your mind up. You either want a savings account or you want to invest.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). I'm affraid we cannot recommed specific stocks / shares based investments but.............
What is your attitude to risk, are you prepared to lose some / all (remote but possible) of this money)? Do you have plans for the money, i.e. holiday, house, car, etc,etc within the next few years?
If the answer is no or you would like to use the money on something in the future then you probably need to stick with a savings account.
If you do wish to "invest" the money then here is probably not the best place to be looking for advice, and there are a wholse host of other questions to consider before making a decision, i.e. stoks, UT's, IT,'s, etc, etc.

Hi, there,
For a maximum return you would probably have to look at equities ( the stock market ) . It's a fairly small sum, so would be best in a collective vehicle of some sort ( unit trust, investment trust, Exchange Traded Fund ). Stock market investment carries with it the risk of losing some or all of your money but over the long term should return more than cash.
If you are interested in stock market investing the Motley Fool is the best place to look.0 -
Portman building soc do a high interest savings a/c that gives a better interest rate than mini isa, 90day notice a/c. may be worth investigating.
