Hi all

Bought a macbook a few months ago and have only just started to play cds on it - and it sounds awful:eek: it rattles so much that I can hear it above the internal speaker. I guess a trip back to the shop is in order but just wondered if there is any quick fix answer.

thanks

No noticeable noise from my Macbook Pro or my daughter's Macbook - although I just did just have my DVD Superdrive replaced after it stopped reading DVDs. If you have an Apple store nearby then make a Genius Bar appointment via the Apple website. They should be able to diagnose and fix while you wait - that's what they did for me.

One thing I've never heard of is a rattly Mac. I'd definitely return it to Apple and see what they say.
