Hello, is it possible to open a bank account for a unborn and perhaps keeping the money stored away there until she/he is old enough to use it.

No (unless you open it in your own name).
As soon as the child is born you can open an account, or add to the Child Trust Fund voucher provided by HM Government.0 -
