BT credit card - which bank is it linked to?

I've just had an email inviting me to apply for a BT credit card with 0% for 12 months on balance transfers. I was looking to apply for a new card to transfer a balance to anyway and wonder if this is a good one.

I already have the following cards: Virgin and M&S (with balances at 0% and 3.9% LOB respectively); Barclaycard, Sainsbury's and Egg (all with no balance)

My credit score is good. Am I likely to get a BT card and if so, are there any drawbacks?
Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.62

It's MBNA so same as Virgin, so you can also do a 0% cash transfer to your bank and pay off the overdraft (if you have one) :j (with a 3% fee, of course).

Since you already have the Virgin card, I think this looks like a good deal. Up to £75 off your BT phone bill per year as well...

As OP is already indebted (with a 0% offer) to MBNA, I think the chances of acceptance/decent credit limit will be much reduced.

But that would mean spending on the card...not advisable if you're using it for a BT, as the OP plans to do.

I definitely wouldn't spend on it! I've learned that lesson. I want a 0% CC to transfer money to my bank account to pay my tax bill in January. If my chances of getting the BT one are not good, can anyone suggest another card to try?

Thanks to anyone who can help.

Egg Card (Visa) - offers SBT's the same as MBNA run cards.

M&S - via the Sterling travellers cheque loophole.

Obviously with the Egg Money card's withdrawal your options are somewhat limited now.

HMRC now accept credit card payments (with a fee) so any card with a 0% offer on purchases may also be an option ?
