yes the 9s had a low action, it must be something stupid ive done (les paul by the way) as the top e has 3 notes the same on itFr. Stack: While you were out, I got the keys to your car. And drove it into a big wall. And if you don't like it, tough. I've had my fun, and that's all that matters.0

Don't have one of them (yet...) - sounds like you might have managed to lower the bridge - does it have height-adjusting screws at each end?
Heavier strings should pull the neck away from the body which would normally give you enough clearance (as Mute said, this can muck up the intonation) so wouldn't normally introduce a buzz - in fact I've found this happens when I switch to lighter strings.
You can check the intonation by lightly resting your fingertip on a string directly over the 12th fret and picking the string - you should get a harmonic (same note as the string being played at fret 12). If you get a thud or a different note the intonation's out... (as an extra check you should also get the next octave harmonic at the 5th fret). If you have to drop below the 12th fret to get the harmonic, your bridge saddle is too far forward (and vice versa). Works on the principle that you get a harmonic exactly 1/2 way down the string which is where fret 12 should be (fret 5 is 1/2 way between the nut and fret 12).
Hope that helps (and/or doesn't confuse the issue..)0
