I use alpro light, i find it the closest to milk, it's the one in the chiller cabinet, not on the aisles.................Blackpool_Saver is female, and does not live in Blackpool0

Just been to the supermarket. Wow, there is more choice in soya milk than normal milk these days!
Sweetened, unsweetened, in the chiller cabinet, UHT etc etc!
I have got two of Sainsbury's own brand from the chiller, one sweetened and one normal.
Dobie- Yes I have thought about cutting out all dairy, but this week I've had a little bit of cheese, but just not had any porridge or yogurts. I think I would say I am more intolerant to it, so can cope with small amounts of dairy.0 -
I use Rice Dream. I get it in a pack of 3 individual small cartons. It is more expensive than a big carton, but I only use it for my porridge, so there is no waste.
I only use the Rice Dream, a splash of water and some goji berries (currants if I have run out). The rice milk is natually sweet, so I don't need to add any sugar.0 -
Another vote for Sainsburys Basics from me.
I also like porridge made with water and a little grated syrup. Porridge made with water and a grated apple added after cooking is also very good.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
Lidl do a very good soya milk in their chiller cabinet, and also a chocolate flavoured one (gorgeous, I cannot buy it as I would have to drink it all on my way back from shopping!).Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0

Honestly, if you make porridge with just water it can be really delicious! The oat milk seeps out and makes it really creamy without milk!
Yum!0 -
I make dairy-free porridge with water, but then add a splash (1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon, depending on how much creaminess I crave) of coconut cream. Yummy!Cogito, ergo sum.0

I changed my 1 year old DS's milk to goats milk as I wanted to see if it was triggering his Eczema, he never noticed the difference in taste and although I could notice a slight aftertaste it isn't unpleasant.June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

Yum!
Especially if you soak the oats in the water overnight - can't really taste the difference.
We add some cinamon to the porridge, chopped up nuts and/or banana!
Yummy stuff.0
