Chimney breast removal cost

Options
I'd like to have a chimney breast removed in a bedroom. It's across a corner of the room - weird, don't ask :D . Width is about a metre and at an angle to a loadbearing wall on one side but not the other and the property is a bungalow. I imagine it will need to be RSJ'd, floored, ceiling'd, plastered, skirting'd.
Can any of you builders give me an idea of how much the job would cost? And do I need building/planning thingummyjigs?
Amateur DIYers may have done this themselves, but now I'm drawing my pension I can't whip up the energy and motivation to follow their lead ;)
Any help and advice would be very much appreciated.
