    We don't pay council tax as we are both full time student nurses, pocket money includes meals out and alcohol etc and the holidays comprise of a fortnight in Cyprus in Sept and a Ryanair weekend away somewhere in May. I don't spend a fortune on clothes i shop at Primark and any leftover at the end of the month is put into saving for my next home. I should add I'm a seconded student and so keep my original HCA wage during my training.
  • Here's mine;

    Income after tax £1040

    Outgoings on a normal month:

    £430 to joint account which covers my half of mortgage, council tax, bills etc
    £100 to other joint account for food, pet food and any joint outings eg cinema etc
    £200 on debts (3 credit cards)
    £35 per month mobile phone
    £30 to ISA
    £30 to other savings accounts
    £6 to 3 x charities
    £40 petrol
    £20 contact lenses

    Total £891

    On a normal month I'm usually left with about £100-£150 for myself but there are usually things like birthday presents or books for college etc (part time course) which come up. I rarely spend money on going out drinking or on clothes unless there are no large expenditures in that month.
