Can someone help me please

I'm a novice on the computer, so if you're going to reply, think computers for dummies lol.

Ok, I'll try and give as much info so if you can help you can reply in one post.

I've got a samsung tocca. I video'd my daughter and tried to send it via mms msm but it was too big to send, my laptop ( i think) is not bluetooth enabled so i can't send it that way, so i sent it to my memory stick and tried to play it through windows media player I get this come up:

Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file.

I really would like to put this video onto disk, but would also like it on my comp so i can send it to family.

Any help would be gratefully recived

Can you right-click on the file on the PC and let us know what the file type is?

It'll probably be MP4, 3GPP, H.263 or H.264

NickMidgley: I can't right click on the file. Not sure if I'm doing it right but i just get the usual when you right click ie copy paste etc ( this is when i right click on the file while it is on my memory stick, you can't actually see the file when i try and play it through my media player.

Hi,

I've downloaded this programme and it plays the video lovely, but it doesn't play the sound, any ideas?


This is the message i get

No suitable decoder module:
VLC does not support the audio or video format "samr". Unfortunately there is no way for you to fix this.

It has codecs that both VLC and windows media player use (And its own classic player)
Itll play 99.9% of all video and sound files

OK, I just had a quick google.

Real Player or Quicktime seem to be your best bets. They're both freebies.
