Two current account questions

Would be appreciated if someone could answer this. One of them I already have a pretty good idea over, but the other I have no idea whatsoever.

I was going through the Barclays online application form for a student current account and at the end it tells you to tick the boxes for what you want, cheque book, connect card etc. But what is a connect card, I have a halifax student current account which is a debit card so is it the same as that or what is it?

And on the Natwest application it mentioned what date you moved into your current home. I have no idea on when it was other than it was upwards of ten years ago if not nearly fifteen years ago. How accurate does it need to be? Would be correct year be fine as when i asked my Dad he could guess at the year and my Mum could the same but not the month. How vital is the correct date?

My guess is it needs to be exact but if anyone could answer my two questions would be appreciated. Thanks.

A Connect Card is Barclays version of the Visa Debit Payemt Card.

As for the address is if it that long ago that you can not remember as it is ten years plus, then an educated guess would be acceptable.
These are my thoughts and no one else's, so like any public forum advice - check it out before entering into contracts or spending your hard earned cash!

I don't know everything, however I do try to point people in the right direction but at the end of the day you can only ever help yourself!

Correct year would be best. The reason it's asked is primarily for credit scoring, but that is likely not a major issue if you're going for a student account/were born in 1989. I wouldn't worry too much about the date exactly for something that long ago, but I would expect someone who moved relatively recently to know.

A Connect debit card is what Visa Debit/Visa Delta used to be known as in the UK. It was first marketed by Barclays, but the name was then changed by Visa. We decided we liked the name and kept it.
