I am looking for a calling card service that I can use from any phone to phone America, (will be from the uK only) does anybody have any suggestions ?

What about registering for https://www.18185.co.uk you can lose that from Landline and Mobile and its cheap only 0.5p a minute from a landline 4p connection.

Or if its a prepaid service your after try First Telecom :

From landlines that you can put on a 18185 account, that will be cheapest.

For ad hoc use elsewhere, I noticed that First Telecom has 15p per minute surcharge from payphones. If your use is mainly payphones, also look at Alpha Telecom or Nobelcom - note the Nobelcom remark that 2p per minute is added ie 2.6p
