nectar/cd-wow order not arrived

I ordered a DVD from the nectar website on the 8th December. It appears that it's cd wow that are supplying the DVD, but it still hasn't turned up!
I rang Nectar and they said email [EMAIL="support@cd-wow.com"]support@cd-wow.com[/EMAIL] which I have done and haven't received a reply.
Has anyone had anything similar happen? Does anyone have a phone number I can contact Cd-wow on? I found this number: 0870 3500899 (and it's freephone alternatives) but they don't seem to be working.
The DVD is supposed to be a Christmas present for my mum so I need to get it soon!

There are mentions on other threads of folks waiting 3 weeks or more. Also mentioned on hduk. Would suggest you use www.find-dvd.co.uk to find cheapest alternative supplier and check their cut off dates for Christmas. You can always send the original back when it arrives.

Thanks, I like that site and Media Pricer too. I think I've missed the cut off dates for Christmas delivery now which is very, very annoying as it's not my fault! I have used cd-wow before and they've been fine. Maybe they're in over their heads now with them getting a lot more popular and Christmas shopping...0 -
I had a similar problem: waited for months and when I complained nectar said it was nothing to do with them.
I've ordered through CD-wow before (not via nectar) and had no problems at all so I blame nectar.0 -

Me too. I wonder whether they treat it as less of a priority as presumably they have to converse with nectar about converting points into money. Grrr!:mad:0 -
Is it a new release dvd? CDwow have always had delays with new releases...even if it's not, then it could just be that the dvd is out of stock. Normally cdwow would email you if this is the case but I bet because you went through nectar, they may not have your email address. It all comes down to how nectar pass on the info or whatever. I really have no idea but I'm a bit miffed cdwow have not replied to your email. They are normally very good. I ordered something from them about two weeks ago and it was dispatched next day and arrived very quickly.

I too am still waiting for WALL E DVD from CD WOW / Nectar. I have emailed to cancel the order as it will obviously not now arrive in time for Xmas! I have asked for a refund to my Nectar points if possible !!?? I have had no reply for 2 days...
Will have to rebuy DVD in town tomorrow - what a pain!0 -

Thanks. It was released in October so not really a new release. It's not showing in my cdwow account, but when I log out and just enter the order number and my email address, then I can find it that way. It says pending dispatch. Great. No chance of that turning up for xmas. :mad: I did get an email order confirmation from cd wow so they must have my email address.
I was going to cancel the order like lucky lizzie has but you have to email them and then they have to refund your nectar points. Seeing as they're not replying to my emails don't know how long that will take. I'll wait and see if they respond eventually, and maybe move the order onwards a bit or refund it. I know I won't get it for Christmas and it's too expensive to buy in the shops so I may aswell just wait and have it turn up eventually (hopefully). Luckily I have already got some things for my mum for christmas (the DVD's for her) so it's not too bad, and she won't mind, but it's just really annoying.
It must be a problem with going through nectar as I've never had a problem with CD-wow before.0 -
Hi - I have had quite a few minor problems with using nectar points and get the games/cd/dvd from cdwow, I also had ordered WALL-E as a christmas present on 26th Nov and got the usual reply that they were sorry for the delay but they were having stock problems with their supplier, finally got the dvd around the 12th Dec - I did email Nectar as I thought that they should have a better stock system so people know if they are running low on stock for a particular item as if I knew that they were having problems I would have brought the Dvd in the shops (and not worried if it would arrive in time for xmas), although I got a reply from Nectar stating if I had a problem with cdwow then I could cancel my order and my points would be added back to my account, which I thought was pretty poor customer service and certainly does not make you want to collect Nectar points with them. I ordered a DVD more than two weeks ago from Cdwow (nothing to do with Nectar) and its status has been "pending dispatch" ever since :mad:. Frankly I've given up hope of it arriving in time for Christmas, and if it doesn't, I'll certainly not be using Cdwow again...0

DO NOT USE CD WOW
JUST LOOK AT THE COMPLAINTS IN GOOGLE.
I Have not received item ,its been 2 months ,they have no valid telephone number for UK,they are not even UK Based...
if you Have paid via pay-pal claim your money Back Now Before pay pal 45 day deadline they will give you a refund (before 45 Day's deadline)
Also complain to Pay-Pal about CD WOW to get Pay-pal rights Removed FROM THIS SHODDY COMPANY
