well after the help i got from everyone on here last night i went into staples and asked about the 2gb toshiba, i had spoken to him the other day so i knew from that he'd offered a discount on the bigger laptop so asked what the best deal was he could do on the 2gb one, he said nothing if i cant afford it i shouldnt be looking at one so expensive  what a cheek!!!
i just walked out i was so stunned what sort of customer service is that, he followed up with " i can sell them so easily i dont need to discount them they sell themselves" Hmmm then how come im not buying and you still have tons in stock??
im really dissapointed now as i dont want to buy from staples now if thats their attitude so i need to find something similar spec and price if possible anyone know of any deals anywhere on a minimum 2gb RAM ??
shelly
fed up of looking now !
he was the manager by the way

i know , i was just so shocked at what he said it wasnt like id been rude. i just smiled and said" so if i was buying today whats the bes deal you can do on this laptop? youd have thought with his response id asked for the earth.
To make a general point, don't let a snide little !!!!!! deny you the chance of getting something you specifically want at the best price.
You can (if you wish) be murderously cutting and unkind to him once the goods are in your hand and paid for. (But why bother?)
ill have a look more online , someone on the greatest laptop hunt thread says theyve seen it for £349 so if i can find out where ill love it as staples do price match plus 10% of the difference so i can enjoy making him discount then :-)Mortgage at start of MFW £101416.74(27yrs)
