How much are credit cards sold on for?????????

Hi
I am about to make offere for settlements with DMCs on 2 cards.

Does anyone have experience of how much DMC's buy credit cards from the bnaks for?

Eg Cabot bought a Halifax card (balance 6454)
Cabot bought a Monument card (balance 3455)

Answers on a plate (with mince pies) please!

Thx
Stuart

  • Anything between 3 and 20 percent. Depending on factors like, age of debt, past history of debtor, how long defaulted for.... oh, loads of things.

I'd be surprised if the Monument one is enforcable at all though. Just thinking out loud. ;)
Cabot can now kiss my DONKEY. Statute barred is enough of a result, but the actions of the CABOT FAN CLUB have cost them far more than the paltry sums they were chasing us for.
  • Actually i would say more like 30-40%Whether or not Monument is enforceable is another question, really depends on whether you account was kept by Barclaycard or passed on to CompuCredit, the latter being more likely.
  • 30 to 40%? Really? I very much doubt that. What do you base your figures on?

In my experience, most Monument CC "agreements" are application forms that fail miserably as an agreement as defined by the CCA 1974.

  • Oh ok, i used to work for Barclaycard/Monument..
  • In that case, you'll be better informed than most. ;)
