Can't right mouse click when on internet pages

When I right mouse click when I am on the internet, nothing happens. Probably something simple - but have no idea where to start. Can someone help please.

Hi there, try "shift+F10" if that brings it up then your mouse is faulty:D
BTW, this is not a scam, it's been around since Windows 95:j
  • Could also click on the menu key (ie. key next to the windows key on the right hand side of the keyboard).

Thanks tried both those - still nothing.
Hopefully not a faulty mouse, as I just bought it!!!!!!!!!!!!! but it was the same with the old mouse as well. The old mouse seemed to have a mind of its own, and tended to wander.

Optical mice tend to wander if they're used on a shiny surface as there's not enough texture on it for the sensor to know if it's moving or not. A mouse mat will fix that problem.

Hi again, this is beginning to sound like a hardware problem. I doubt if it's software unless you did purchase a new mouse/keyboard combo. If that's not the case it may well be the keyboard/mouse controller on the mobo.
  • Is it all web pages? web developers can prevent right clicks on their pages (I do on some I create)
If I have helped in any way, and you feel like it - please press the thanks button
