Try Edinburgh! I went to Uni in Newcastle so it's always a hard night out to beat but Edinburgh is great. Everyone is really friendly and it's a great night out... something for everyone! Enjoy!0

Actually yes, we stayed in Edinburgh Central Travelodge last week. Really great location, just off the Royal Mile.
You'll be lucky to get rooms in August though with the Festival and Tattoo going on.0 -
Can anyone recommend a hotel in London? I will hopefully be booking one for my sister and her OH. As they will be travelling from N Ireland I would like one in the city centre close to shops.
Any recommendations greatly appreciated.
Thanks
We like the Liverpool St one, as we've always had quiet rooms there, and it's very handy for Liverpool St station. You can buy a day's tube and bus pass for around a fiver. As long as you're near a tube station, you'll be able to get anywhere.
I've stayed in King's Cross and City Road, and found both noisy. I didn't feel comfortable walking round King's Cross at night. City Road is great if you can get a room at the back.
I've never managed to get a room at Covent Garden or Marylebone.
They're all great for £9 though.
Good luck everyone0 -

I've just come back from a £9 night at Covent Garden. Travelodge there is good - it has a restaurant serving breakfast - £7.50 per adult, kids eat free. Rooms were fine - basic, and a little bit shabby, but for £9, fantastic! Nice and central a bit of a walk to Covent Garden itself - but right next door the the Shaftesbury theatre, if you want to see "Hairspray", you couldn't be any closer.0 -
Does this offer only relate to double rooms? Do they offer anything for family rooms?0

I got family rooms this time around - in DecemberMollyJoe0

I've only ever booked family rooms.0

There's so much more space for the same price. I've never understood the point of people booking single or doubles when you get so much more in a family room without paying an excess.
Be warned the site WILL CRASH tomorrow from 6AM due to demand. It's happened the last few sales.0 -

We do need the sofa bed. But if someone who didn't could book a bigger room at the same price I certainly wouldn't blame them.
It's up to Travelodge to give a price differential on different rooms if they want to save family rooms for families.0
