What time does anyone reckon this will start? Previous sales have all started early!
  • Their site was balls last time, wouldnt let me on for ages, an error displayed something along the lines of "we are letting users currently on the site complete their checkouts to ensure optimum service". I got on , got to the page where entered payment details, clicked submit, then the site died again. This happened about 5 times to me before i gave up

I recommend Carlisle city centre - lovely historic city, cathedral, castle, brilliant museum for kids, lots of good places to eat and have coffee, great shops including independents - we had a great time in the independent bookshop. We went on the last £9 offer and had a fantastic weekend. Nice big clean rooms, good bathrooms. We had breakfast at Watts although it does have a cafe-bar.

Can anyone recommend a hotel in London? I will hopefully be booking one for my sister and her OH. As they will be travelling from N Ireland I would like one in the city centre close to shops.

    Any recommendations greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

Ive been to London twice and stayed in Travelodges. First time Kings Cross, second City Road. Both close to undergrounds so easy access to city centre, but both near main roads and pretty noisy at night. Would stay in either again, prob City Road as it was more recently refurbished but would deffo bring earplugs next time!

We stayed in the Kings Cross Royal Scot last week (travelodge offer ;) very clean, within walking distance from Kings Cross station but i was a bit put off by the wino's standing outside the local shop asking for money and another one looking through the rubbish bags to see what he could salvage!!!

I don't know what it is about Travelodge mattresses. Every time we get one they are too soft - like waterbeds, i jump on and the other half flies off the other side ;) saying that I love going away with these offers, for £9 i would sleep on a cardboard box...but i wouldn't pay the full rate for them...

    Hi
I was thinking of taking advantage of this for my friends hen party next August.

    Anybody recommend a good place?
I have been told Carlisle, York seems very busy at that time with the races.

Need to be fairly close and inexpensive as we all seem to have small children at the mo!

    We are travelling from Newcastle.

    Thanks

  • Chester Central is fantastic. We stayed there last summer when it had just opened.

It's right in the City, close to shops and bars.
