Credit Card Protection Advice Needed

Quick piece of advice needed please if anyone knows the answer.
I am about to get some UPVC roofline products and was due to pay by cash today. I don't have a credit card and have never had one so don't really know anything about them.
Would it be beneficial for me to ask my Dad to pay on his credit card and then just give him the cash? Would this then give me any protection against the roofline products if anything went wrong? The work will obviously be done on my property, however in order to get the additional security of buying with a credit card, would my Dad have to sign the actual agreement/guarantee with the roofline company, or do I sign but the protection would still be valid if he pays?
Grateful for any advice, thanks.
P.S. Be quick though as they are due in a few hours!

If you can I would use the Credit Card because you will benefit from Section 75 protection under the Consumer Credit Act.
I don't think it matters that it is your dad's card. Obviously you just need to check that the roofline people accept cards.0
